What is AB Tutor?
AB Tutor is a classroom management package. Computer Lab Management (CLM) provides AB Tutor in computer classrooms for instructors to use.
What can AB Tutor do?
The five most commonly used functions of AB Tutor are:
- Watch or observe another station’s screen
- Control another station
- Show screens between stations
- Block web sites on stations
- Lock the screen of a specific or all stations
Where is AB Tutor installed?
AB Tutor is installed in all Mac computer classrooms and PC computer classrooms.
The AB Tutor administration program is only installed on the instructor’s station.
Is there anything I should know before using AB Tutor?
There is a password required to use the program. It is available from the Computer Room Consultant (CRC). Since the program can access sensitive information, please do not share this password with anyone else.
How do I open AB Tutor?
On on PC click on the AB Tutor icon in the taskbar.
On on Mac click on the AB Tutor icon in the dock.
There are two versions of AB Tutor. One asks for username and password and the other just password.
When prompted enter just the number of the room without the buidling (2020, 93, etc.) and the AB Tutor password.
Or just enter the AB Tutor password.
