HoverCam Instructions
What is the HoverCam?
The HoverCam is a document camera. It is available on a checkout basis for use in the computer classrooms.
Checking out the HoverCam
You can check out the HoverCam from the Computer Room Consultant (CRC). If you are in a Computer Classroom, the CRC is located in an Open Access room nearby. The table below shows where the CRC is located if you are teaching in a particular room.

The HoverCam is stored in a cloth case with a power adapter.
The HoverCam is folder when stored in the bag. Unfold the HoverCam until it resembles this:
Connecting the HoverCam
Connect the power cable to the DC5V plug on the back. Connect the VGA cable from the Media Cabinet to the VGA port on the back. Press the On/Off button to turn on the HoverCam.
Using the HoverCam
Select the VGA input from the projector panel. The image from the HoverCam should appear on the projector screen.
Turning on light
If the document or object you are projecting needs more illumination, a light is available.
Returning the HoverCam
You can contact the CRC when you are done using the HoverCam. The CRC can disassemble and return it. Or if you prefer, you can return the HoverCam to the CRC yourself
